Welcome to 2020 - it's going to be a big year.
We're excited to host our first general membership meeting of the year on January 9th. Please note there was **NO MEETING ON JANUARY 2.** We will go back to our regularly scheduled first Thursday of the month meetings in February. This meeting will feature the GO Team training: A representative from the San Diego County Democratic Party will provide our club with Grassroots Organizing (GO) Team training for canvassing. GO Team canvassing on behalf of the SD County Democratic Party with door hangers or by phone is the single most significant action all of us can take to positively impact the upcoming March 3rd Primary Election! The SD County Democratic Party volunteer trainer will provide a free, quick, and intense GO Team training to attendees. Light snacks and beverages provided. Our national, statewide, and local candidates need our help to get people to vote on March 3rd. The 8% to 14% increase in voter turnout that results from even minimal GO Team contact in our precincts could swing the election for multiple close races and initiatives. Your canvassing will take much less time than you think… join us to find out how easy it is to reach out to voters and make a difference. Upcoming Community Events: State of the District – Thursday, January 30th, 5:30-7:00pm, Liberty Station Conference Center Councilmember Jennifer Campbell’s office will be hosting a State of the District at the end of this month. The State of the District will feature remarks by Councilmember Campbell, awards for community leaders, tabling by local non-profits, and performances by local students. We encourage PB Dems and our friends and family in the District to attend. We had a great membership turn out, attendance from several candidates for office, and even a surprise appearance from Congressman Scott Peters.
