Presenter: Mike Bullock
In February 2024, Mike presented at the Energy-Utility-Environment Conference in Dallas, Texas. He showed how cars and light-duty trucks could achieve humanity’s 2030 climate-stabilization requirement. It is the basis for his “The Climate Crisis and What to Do About It” slides that he presented at the CA Surf Museum’s 2026 Earth Day event, in the heart of Oceanside’s Cultural District.
Mike has served on the San Diego County Central Committee from 2009, as an Alternate, Elected, and Associate Member. He was on the Executive Board of DEMCCO for 6 years and is currently on the Central Committee’s Resolution and Platform Committee and President of the Oceanside Democratic Club. From 2010 to 2024, Mike presented on Climate Change and Light-Duty Vehicles at conferences in San Diego, Long Beach, San Francisco, Calgary, Guadalajara, New Orleans, Chicago, Dallas, and the DC Metro Area. His title at Lockheed Martin was Senior Staff Systems Engineer. He has a BSEE and a master’s degree, with a focus on Systems Engineering. He has five grandchildren and considers his bicycle to be his primary mode of transportation.

We are heartbroken and saddened for our neighbors in the Claremont community following the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego on May 18. Three community members, Amin Abdullah, Mansour Kaziha, and Nadir Awad were killed and many more were traumatized. The Pacific Beach Democratic Club stands with the Islamic Center in condemning gun violence and extends our condolences to all who were affected by this tragic event.
