A Salute to Veterans at November 4th Meeting

With Veteran's Day one week away from our November 4th meeting, we wanted to revisit the work many San Diego veterans and refugee advocates were doing to aid those left behind in Afghanistan in the wake of the military evacuation.

November Meeting Info:

1. Shawn VanDiver, Board of Directors, Emerge California and Veterans Community Connections (among others), Co-Founder and Director, San Diego Chapter of the Truman National Security Project, will speak to his work as a Veteran and Democratic leader to aid those left behind in Afghanistan. He will also speak to and take questions about what it means to be a veteran in today's Democratic party.

2. A recap of Tuesday's Election Day results elsewhere in the country, and what it could mean for the 2022 midterms.

3. Event info on our PBDC Holiday Party and our upcoming learning and action opportunity following up from our sea-level rise and coastal resilience panel last month!
