SAN DIEGO CITY ATTORNEY RACE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FORUM
Instead of having a speaker at our regular monthly meeting, we are holding a Democratic Candidate Forum for the San Diego City Attorney Race! The Candidate Forum will take place at the Pacific Beach Taylor Branch Library located at 4275 Cass St, San Diego, CA 92109.
Heather Ferbert and Brian Maienschein will participate in a Democratic Candidate Endorsement Forum for the San Diego City Attorney 2024 election. The Forum will be held on Thursday evening, November 2, 2023. Check-in is at 6:00 p.m.
Do you have a question for the candidates running for the office of the San Diego City Attorney? Submit your questions for the candidates by replying to this email by October 27, 2023. Questions can also be submitted during the Candidate Forum and will be asked time permitting.

**NOTICE OF UPCOMING ENDORSEMENT MEETING**
Immediately following the Candidate Forum, members in good standing are invited to participate in a discussion of the candidates' performance and qualifications and a vote on the endorsement will be held. You are a member in good standing with eligibility to vote if you have paid your membership dues 30 days in advance and have attended at least 2 of the last 18 general meetings of the PBDC. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility to vote, please contact the PBDC Board.
In accordance with our bylaws, member votes will be accepted via email. No proxy voting is permitted. Members may vote via email at any time prior to 6:00 p.m. PST on November 2, 2023 (24 hours before the start of the Candidate Forum). Voting members will receive a ballot via email.

After a four-year break, the San Diego Democratic Party County Convention is back!
You're invited to join on Saturday, October 28 at the Escondido Center for the Arts for a day of inspiring interactions with volunteers, elected officials, candidates, and community leaders.
The Convention will feature two general sessions, and ten breakout sessions that will showcase ongoing efforts to advance Democratic values across the County and beyond, with lots of opportunities to mingle with fellow Dems. Featured speakers this year are Congresswoman Barbara Lee, and CA Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks. We'll also hear from local leaders in our general sessions, including Secretary of State Shirley Weber, Congressman Juan Vargas, State Senator Catherine Blakespear, Assemblymembers Tasha Boerner, Chris Ward, Akilah Weber, and more!
